Nofu Satay Skewers

Ingredients

  • 150 g nofu
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Thai red curry paste
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp canned coconut milk

Instructions

Prepare the Nofu:

1. Gently pat dry with a towel. 
2. Cut into thick sticks or rectangles.
3.. Optional: Skewer onto wooden sticks for easier flipping and serving.

Make the Marinade:

4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, curry paste, sugar, and coconut milk until smooth.
5. Place tofu in a shallow dish or container.
6. Pour ¾ of the marinade over the tofu and gently coat. Let it sit for at least 15–30 minutes

Cook:

7. Air Fryer: Preheat to 200°C. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway. / Oven: Preheat to 200°C. Bake on a parchment-lined tray for 20–25 minutes, turning once. / Grill: Cook for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and slightly crispy.

Glaze:

8. In the last 2–3 minutes of cooking, brush or drizzle the remaining marinade over the tofu for a glossy, extra-flavorful finish.
9. Serve hot with peanut dipping sauce, rice, or crunchy slaw.
