Ingredients
- 150–200 g nofu
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Toss the block in a mix of paprika, curry powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt
Instructions
Preheat Oven or Air Fryer:
1. Oven: 200°C, line a baking tray with parchment paper. / Air Fryer: Preheat to 200°C.
Prepare Tofu:
2. Gently pat dry with a towel — no need to press as much as soy tofu, but a quick blot helps crisp it up.
3. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes or thick slices.
Season:
4. In a bowl, toss tofu with olive oil and soy sauce.
5. Sprinkle cornstarch and spices over the tofu and toss again until evenly coated (no dry spots).
Cook:
6. Oven: Spread tofu on the baking tray in a single layer. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and slightly crisp. / Air Fryer: Place tofu in the basket in a single layer. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking once halfway through.
Serve:
7. Enjoy in rice bowls, salads, tacos, or as a snack with your favorite dipping sauce.
